Fiery orange and gold Welo Opals, hand wrapped to each other with fine Gold Filled wire, create a delicate ‘station’ drop of molten color.  

The  precious Opals from Ethiopia’s Wollo mines display brilliant color-play, spitting gold and green fire with a touch of red, depending on how the light enters the gemstones. So go on, move your head and let those babies swing. 
The earrings measure approximately 3” in length and are finished with delicate GF ear wires.

NOTES:

♡︎ Ethiopian Welo Opals are hydrophane and absorb water which can dull the fire within.  I don’t suggest you wear your Opal jewelry in the shower, swimming etc. If they do get wet and dull, dry them out in a warm, sunny spot and keep them away from moisture sources.

♡︎ Gold-filled is a US term for jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold at least 5% of the item's total weight mechanically bonded to either sterling silver or some other base metal.  By contrast, Gold plated metal has only 0.05% of gold electroplated you the base metal. Unless otherwise stated, I only use 14k Gold Filled or Sterling Silver metal in my jewelry, including chains, wire, clasps etc.
